WHO IS PATIENCE MANDU?

I am a 22 year old student living in North West London. I am pursuing a degree in Accounting and Finance at Middlesex University London. Aside studying, I also have a part-time job in a care home. I enjoy my job because it has taught me a lot of life skills i.e relating to people. During my spare time, I love exercising (at least 3days a week) as it keeps me physically and mentally fit. I also enjoy reading and cooking. I decided to apply for face of Kenya UK because I believe that young people have the ability and power to change the world in any way no matter how little it is and face of Kenya offers that platform. One of the ways that this pageant has been of great positive influence in the community here in the UK and back home in Kenya is through Charity work. fundraising through charity has bettered the lives of orphans back home through education, provision of learning materials and even building children homes. Last years winner of face of Kenya UK Miss Jesca Kiplagat has definitely set a great example of how the pageant is changing lives. Over the years, I have participated in raising money for charities such as Children in need, Save the children and Great Ormond Street Hospital and through this platform, I believe that I will be able to make a positive change in the lives of people. Kenya being one of the leading tourist destinations in Africa has contributed to the economy of Kenya in a great way. I believe that promoting Kenya through beauty will offer visitors a place alive with culture and blessed with stunning scenic beauty for all to come and enjoy. Being part of this competition will be a blessing for me as it will lead greater change in the lives of people.

its a rare thing to find a perfect combination of beauty and humility. Your simple act of using beauty to fund-raise for your mother country depicts how down to earth you are. Way to go Patience. Make us shine as you shine too nuder the Kenyan umbrella.
