She also co founded Mbeere community and education development with her sisters Mrs Susan Kariuki . Through Mama Melissa Foundation Eila has dedicated her time in raising money to support her project in Kenya. Over £25,000 has been raised and used to develop communities in Mbeere district in Kenya with £15,000 going towards a water project in rianjeru village and the rest going towards education of the girl child from disadvantaged families. Currently mama Melissa Foundation is proud to say that it has 3 girls scholar at university in Kenya and I in teacher college and continue to support young disadvantaged scholar through secondary and higher education.
