My name is Jacinta Nyambura. I am 21 years old. I am a Kenyan born in Kiambu County. I am currently doing an undergraduate in Psychology at the United Kingdom.
My early education was done in Kenya till I relocated to Britain for my Degree. I am a real patriot and have love for my people back in the Country. I have always promised myself that I was born for a purpose and must fulfill my mission which I was born for.
In the process of fulfilling my dreams in life, I joined hands with several people working in the Kiambu County to face with my people some challenges which have been engulfing our people. There is one particular group that I have been working with and felt that I need to really identify myself with it so that we could be the voice for the voiceless.
There is a Community Based Organization called Summit Propagators. They have different functions focusing on the youths but I would wish to focus on one particular group whose charity activities I felt need to be really enhanced. Nipe Pamper initiative is aimed at helping the young children suffering from the Spina Bifida condition live with it and feels that they too are loved and have the right to be alive.
Throughout my participation in the face of Kenya Uk 2014. I have had the privilege to profit from having access to many branches. I had the opportunity to go to Kenya in the month of April and during this time I was able to speak out about my charity which is referred to as the NIPE PAMPER INITIATIVE. During this time I had the pleasure to hold a meeting with honourable Machel Waikenda who is the County Executive Member of youth Affairs at the county government office in Kiambu where I was able to voice about the initiative where he endorsed his full support in the matter. As of yet I am still waiting for the financial support. I have also been able to patron different fundraising events in the UK back in my hometown Luton where my community has been very willing and great contributors towards helping raise funds for my charity. I was able to not only get my voice out there by advocating for my charity but I was also able to showcase a performance to get people enthused and create a fun atmosphere for everyone around.
Being a student at the University of Bedfordshire I was also able to portray the dream for my charity in different ways by getting the sponsorship forms around as well as displaying ornament to be bough t for a charitable cause. I also appeared on a Kenyan digital dreams limited online website which helped to advocate for my charity and I was able to raise funds through people I interacted with on there that have similar ambitions in terms of moving our country forward and improving the situation.
