I am a 17 years young woman studying GCSE looking forward to do A levels, a humanitarian at heart and wants to pursue law in the near future. My interests lie in leadership, youth empowerment, human rights, media, fashion and modelling. Wants not only to make change but to be part of change by using all the resources available, and by using God given talents to the buildout of the society. I firmly believe that- 'A life lived for others is a life worthwhile' - Albert Einstein.

It is true what those before us said: It takes a village to raise a child. And with this, none of us can argue the fundamental role and place of family in our lives. Of the reasons for this value is the solace in stability; Stability in knowing that we have a place we can always go to and feel we belong, and although this place is often emotional, it is difficult to build stability when the bricks and land are scarce in availability. The children of Makimei Children’s Home lack this stability. By blending my interest in fashion and blogging and through my participation in Face of Kenya, I, Agnes Mukami, a college student looking forward to study law in the near future , have a goal to enable these children to build their home on a new piece of land because with each layer of brick, we can all play our role and raise the children that will inspire positivity and progress in our lives and nation. I am on a mission to bring together the village so that we can all contribute to building a peaceful and stable home for those whom it is not accessible to.
