My name is Annet Ogega currently studying MSc Sustainable Environment Management at the University of Greenwich. I am a dedicated environmental advocate with experience in management and conservation aspects and a key focus for sustainability, health and safety. As an environmental enthusiast I aim at becoming part of an aggressive agency with a positive national and regional outlook and a credible corporate reputation through a persistent accumulation of skills, knowledge and hands on experience. My hobbies include travelling, Nature walks, Reading, participating in Charity and social work, watching environmental documentaries and Environmental photography.

Charity: Redcross

Extensive and irrevisible environmental degradation as a result of climate change has escalated interlinked development challenges such as extreme poverty and  hunger in the arid and semi arid areas of Kenya.
As climate change threatens to increase in severity, the marginalised areas especially in Northern and Eastern Kenya continue to be hit hardest due to their limited capability to cope up and lack of alternative livelihoods.
In light of the drought, which as of January 2017, affected more that 1.2 million people, there is urgent need to address the situation and extend a helping hand towards averting the hunger  situation.
It is a halt to the school going children who have to walk long distances in search of water and food.
The under age children  are also malnourished and exposed to the looming impacts of mulnutrition.
Red cross play a pivotal role to improve such  situations and help families affected to recover.
In support of the efforts of Redcross I believe funds raised through this course will inevitably go along way towards bringing the drought impacts under purview.
