Being my favorite place to travel to, Kenya has numerous interesting and beautiful qualities as a country and population. One of the things I love about Kenya is the rich cultural diversity and how the population stands and supports each other as one. To add to the list, I adore the amazing climate. The cool winds of Nairobi, the hot sunny north as well as Mombasa’s breeze. Last but not least, I enjoy the warmhearted and friendliness of the Kenyan people in all corners of the country.
Matibabu Foundation Kenya is my Charity of choice.
Matibabu Foundation, found in 2003 is a non-profit organization based in Western Kenya, with an office in the capital. The organization focuses on improving healthcare accessibility and quality for the bottom 20% income level of the population. Last year, I had the opportunity to meet and speak to Dan Ogola, the founder of the organization, as I was highly interested in contributing my efforts to the foundation for a better healthcare quality. A crucial factor Mr Ogola mentioned that needed improvement in the rural communities was the lack of medical equipments and supplies. As a FOKUK contestant, I am willing to dedicate my efforts and help to Matibabu Foundation for a higher quality of healthcare in Kenya.
